SHE HEARS HIS VOICE
Inner Child: Learning to Rest Safely in God’s Love
“I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with its mother…” — Psalm 131:2
There is something deeply healing about this picture.
A child resting safely.
 Not striving.
 Not performing.
 Just held.
Many women carry younger parts of themselves that still feel:
unseen, unheard, unsafe, or emotionally alone.
And often, without realizing it, we continue trying to earn love, approval, or belonging through performance and perfectionism.
But God’s heart toward us is tender.
He does not rush healing.
He welcomes us gently.
Sometimes spiritual growth is not about becoming “more impressive.”
Sometimes it’s learning how to rest.
To quiet our souls.
To receive comfort.
To believe we are loved even when we are not accomplishing or achieving.
This kind of healing creates deep roots.
And rooted women become steady women.

Gentle Reflection Questions
• What younger part of me still longs to feel safe or comforted?
 • What did I need emotionally when I was younger that I may still need today?
 • What would it feel like to rest in God’s love without striving?

Healing the heart is often less about becoming someone new…
…and more about allowing God to nurture the places within us that have been waiting for love and care.
