Preparing the Soil of the Heart
Sometimes life leaves our hearts feeling like an overgrown garden.
Weeds of fear, disappointment, shame, striving, or emotional exhaustion quietly grow beneath the surface while we keep trying to move forward.
And often, the deepest hurts come from places where we longed to feel spiritually safe and cared for.
But God never asks us to ignore the condition of our hearts.
Like a loving gardener, He gently invites us to slow down and prepare the soil again 🌿
In a natural garden, healthy growth begins by:
🌱 loosening hardened soil
🌱 removing weeds and debris
🌱 making space for new life
🌱 loosening hardened soil
🌱 removing weeds and debris
🌱 making space for new life
And healing begins much the same way.
Not with pressure.
Not with perfection.
But with honesty and grace.
Not with perfection.
But with honesty and grace.
📖 “Search me, O God, and know my heart.” — Psalm 139:23
Sometimes God begins by simply revealing what we’ve been carrying too long.
Not to condemn us…
but to lovingly restore us.
but to lovingly restore us.
📖 “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
Healing starts when we allow God back into the garden of the heart 💛
